Two clarifications up front. Bridgewater is essentially sold out — DiVosta's on-site sales center has closed and the community was recorded as sold out in July 2026, so what trades now is resale rather than new construction from the builder. And the recorded plat name is Bridgewater Preserve; the builder markets it as Bridgewater and some portals file it as Bridgewater of Jupiter. All three are the same place.
The Martin County Line
This is worth its own section because it is where most published information about Bridgewater goes wrong.
Bridgewater is in Martin County, not Palm Beach County. Parcel identifiers are Martin County format, PulteGroup's own division site lists the community under Martin County, and the assigned schools are Martin County School District schools. The confusion is easy to explain: the mailing address is Jupiter, DiVosta's own web address files the community under a "palm-beach" sales-market path, and the MLS county field carries Palm Beach for the Jupiter address. Several brokerage sites — including at least one that lists Palm Beach County schools for this community — have inherited that error.
What it means in practice cuts two ways. Martin County's property tax rates run lower than Palm Beach County's, which is a genuine and often-cited advantage. But Martin County has no schools south of Hobe Sound, so the zoned schools are a meaningful drive north rather than the Jupiter schools a buyer might assume from the address. Both facts belong on the table before an offer.
Development and Buildout
PulteGroup acquired the site around 2020 as one of two Treasure Coast acquisitions, and Bridgewater opened in 2021 on roughly 215 acres. The earliest completed homes date to 2022, with most closings falling between 2022 and 2024.
In late 2023 DiVosta launched The Retreat at Bridgewater, a small enclave of seven to eight estate compounds on parcels of roughly 1.8 to 5 acres — a distinctly different product from the main community, described below.
The homeowners association, Bridgewater Preserve Homeowners' Association I, Inc., was originally incorporated in 2006, indicating the land was platted and entitled roughly fifteen years before DiVosta built on it. There is no Community Development District here, so buyers are not carrying a CDD assessment on top of the HOA — worth knowing, since many comparable new communities in the region do.
Homes at Bridgewater
All 107 residences are single-family detached. There are no townhomes, villas or condominiums.
The main collection runs five floor plans: the single-story Oakley at about 3,300 square feet and Madeira at about 3,980; and the two-story Aventura at about 3,800, Layton at about 4,010, and Livingston at about 5,370, the last reaching seven bedrooms. Homes are concrete block and stucco with metal or concrete tile roofs, impact glass throughout, zero-corner sliders, volume ceilings and three- to four-car attached garages as standard. Architecture is contemporary coastal rather than Mediterranean — a departure from most of what was built in this market a decade earlier.
The Retreat collection is a different scale entirely: Ellington at about 5,480 square feet, Aventura Grand and Madeira Grand in the 5,600 to 5,800 range, and Livingston Grand from roughly 7,180 to 7,230. Each Retreat residence includes a detached guest house of about 1,800 square feet with its own bedroom and two baths, plus a detached four-car garage — seven to eight garage spaces in total.
Two corrections to what is commonly published about this community. The size range is not 1,600 to 7,200 square feet; nothing here approaches 1,600, and the true floor is around 3,300. Nor is it 4,000 to 5,365, which excludes both the smallest plan and the entire Retreat collection. And on lots: marketing describes "one to five acres," but recorded standard homesites run closer to 0.87 to 1.11 acres. The five-acre figure applies to Retreat parcels only. Across the community, homeowners may add guest houses or casitas up to half the size of the main residence, which is why several homes here read larger than their base plan.
Amenities
Bridgewater is deliberately a low-amenity community, and a buyer should go in understanding that. There is no clubhouse, no community pool, no fitness center, no tennis or pickleball courts, no playground and no golf. Pools are private, per home. The value proposition here is acreage, privacy and construction quality rather than a recreation package, and pretending otherwise would set the wrong expectation.
What the community does have is worth stating clearly, because most brokerage pages omit the best of it:
- Community-wide fiber-optic network — Gigabit internet delivered to every home and included in the HOA. This is Bridgewater's single most distinctive feature and it is almost never mentioned in listings for the community.
- Gated entry — An electronic gate with call-box entry. Note that there is no manned guardhouse; MLS records for the community state this explicitly.
- Lakes and preserve frontage — Most homesites are lakefront or back to water, wetland or preserve, several with fountain features.
- Walking and jogging paths, sidewalks and street lighting throughout.
HOA fees cover common-area maintenance, gate operation, sidewalks and street lighting, and the fiber internet service. Homeowners maintain their own lot landscaping. No club or golf membership is required with a home purchase.
Schools Near Bridgewater
Public Schools
Bridgewater is served by the Martin County School District, not Palm Beach County — the most consequential correction on this page for families. The assigned schools are Hobe Sound Elementary School (PK–5, 11555 SE Gomez Avenue, Hobe Sound), Murray Middle School (6–8, 4400 SE Murray Street, Stuart) and South Fork High School (9–12, 10000 SW Bulldog Way, Stuart).
Be realistic about the geography: Martin County operates no schools south of Hobe Sound, so all three are a drive north rather than the nearby Jupiter schools an address in this ZIP code might suggest. Note also that SeaWind Elementary School in Hobe Sound serves other parts of the area, so confirm the specific elementary assignment for any address with the district's Find My School locator rather than relying on listing data.
South Fork High School is the only high school in Martin County offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and its campus is unusual — an on-site golf course and a working agricultural farm with cattle and citrus groves. Under the district's School Choice program, families may apply to another Martin County high school for a specialty program: Martin County High School in Stuart runs Cambridge AICE and Jensen Beach High School offers AP Capstone, with families providing their own transportation out of zone. Clark Advanced Learning Center, a public charter high school on the Indian River State College campus in Stuart, runs a full dual-enrollment model for about 250 students.
Private and Parochial Schools
- Jupiter Christian School — Founded 1963, PK–12, roughly 800 students, 700 S. Delaware Boulevard, Jupiter. The closest independent school to Bridgewater and the area's only PK–12 Christian college preparatory, accredited by ACSI and Cognia.
- The Pine School — Founded 1969, K–12, roughly 515 students, 12350 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound. A 174-acre campus accredited by FCIS and Cognia, with 22 AP courses and mandatory athletic participation in grades nine through twelve.
- All Saints Catholic School — Founded 2003, PK–8, roughly 466 students, 1759 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter. The closest Catholic parish school, founded jointly by six parishes of the Diocese of Palm Beach.
- The Benjamin School — Founded 1960, PK3–12, roughly 1,300 students, with the lower and middle school at 11000 Ellison Wilson Road, North Palm Beach, and the upper school at 4875 Grandiflora Road, Palm Beach Gardens. The region's flagship independent day school.
- Hobe Sound Christian Academy — Founded 1960, PK–12, roughly 219 students, 11460 SE Gomez Avenue, Hobe Sound. Operates on the Hobe Sound Bible College campus, with dual enrollment available at the college and Indian River State College.
- St. Joseph Catholic School — Founded 1961, PK3–8, approximately 450 to 530 students, 1200 SE 10th Street, Stuart. A Diocese of Palm Beach parish school with high-school-credit coursework offered in middle school.
- The Weiss School — Founded 1989, junior pre-kindergarten through grade nine, roughly 384 students, 4176 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens. The only independent school in South Florida dedicated exclusively to gifted students.
Admissions timelines at these schools generally run a year ahead of enrollment.
Location and Commute
The entrance is off Island Way, north of Indiantown Road near the Village of Tequesta. That puts I-95 Exit 87 and Florida's Turnpike Exit 116, both at Indiantown Road, within a few miles — genuinely convenient interstate access for a community with acre lots.
Jupiter's beaches are roughly seven miles east. Harbourside Place on the Intracoastal in downtown Jupiter, with the Wyndham Grand hotel, a waterfront amphitheater, a marina and restaurants including Ruth's Chris and The Woods Jupiter, is about fifteen minutes south. The Gardens Mall, Downtown Palm Beach Gardens and Legacy Place are twenty to twenty-five minutes south along the PGA Boulevard corridor, and Stuart is about twenty-five minutes north.
Jupiter Medical Center at 1210 S. Old Dixie Highway is roughly fifteen minutes south — an independent not-for-profit consistently rated among the top hospitals in Palm Beach County — with a second campus in Palm Beach Gardens opening in early 2028. Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital in Stuart is the nearest Martin County hospital.
The closest commercial airport is President Donald J. Trump International Airport (code DJT, formerly Palm Beach International and PBI) in West Palm Beach, roughly thirty-five minutes south. Witham Field in Stuart and North Palm Beach County General Aviation Airport handle private aircraft. There is no Brightline station in Jupiter; the nearest is West Palm Beach.
For outdoor recreation, the Martin County location is an advantage. Jonathan Dickinson State Park at 16450 SE Federal Highway covers more than 10,000 acres and is the largest state park in Southeast Florida, with camping, paddling on the Loxahatchee River and the Hobe Mountain boardwalk. Blowing Rocks Preserve on Jupiter Island holds the largest limestone outcropping on Florida's east coast, and the Nathaniel P. Reed Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge protects 1,091 acres including three and a half miles of undeveloped Atlantic beach.
Bridgewater FAQs
What types of homes are available in Bridgewater homes for sale?
All 107 residences are single-family detached homes built by DiVosta between 2022 and 2024. The main collection runs five plans from about 3,300 square feet up to roughly 5,370, with four to seven bedrooms, in concrete block and stucco construction with impact glass, volume ceilings and three- to four-car garages. The Retreat at Bridgewater is a separate enclave of seven to eight estate compounds from about 5,480 to 7,230 square feet, each with a detached guest house of roughly 1,800 square feet and a detached four-car garage. Homeowners may add casitas up to half the size of the main residence.
Is Bridgewater in Palm Beach County?
No. Despite the Jupiter, FL 33458 mailing address, Bridgewater is in unincorporated Martin County, just north of the county line. Parcel records, the builder's own division listing and the assigned schools all confirm it. This matters in two directions: Martin County property tax rates run lower than Palm Beach County's, but the zoned schools are Martin County schools in Hobe Sound and Stuart rather than the nearby Jupiter schools.
Is Bridgewater a gated community?
Yes, with an electronic gate and call-box entry. Note that there is no manned guardhouse — MLS records for the community state this specifically. The community also has sidewalks, street lighting and walking paths throughout, on roughly 215 acres holding only 107 homes.
What amenities does Bridgewater offer?
Bridgewater is intentionally low-amenity: there is no clubhouse, community pool, fitness center, tennis or pickleball court, playground or golf. Pools are private to each home. What it does have is a community-wide fiber-optic network delivering gigabit internet to every home, included in the HOA — the community's most distinctive feature and one most listings omit — along with gated entry, community lakes with fountain features, walking and jogging paths, and preserve or water frontage on most homesites.
What public and private schools serve Bridgewater homes for sale?
Bridgewater is zoned to Martin County School District schools: Hobe Sound Elementary, Murray Middle School in Stuart and South Fork High School in Stuart. South Fork is the only high school in Martin County offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Because Martin County operates no schools south of Hobe Sound, all three involve a drive north — and note that some brokerage sites incorrectly list Palm Beach County schools for this community. Verify the specific elementary assignment with the district's locator. Nearby private options include Jupiter Christian School and All Saints Catholic School in Jupiter, The Pine School and Hobe Sound Christian Academy in Hobe Sound, and The Benjamin School and The Weiss School in Palm Beach Gardens.
